Lucid Dreams: Romain Laprade's pastel coloured photographs for Kinfolk's latest issue

While it's a fashion shoot, it has an entirely transformative aesthetic that makes it feel as much a piece of art as a piece of editorial.

The images were shot by one of Kinfolk's most prolific contributors, Romain Laprade, and the series, entitled “Lucid Dreams”, is described by the publication as a "Luis Barragán-esque fashion editorial". Shot in Malta, the photography is imbued with a sense of sunshine and positivity; making use of unusual pastel colour palettes and architectural forms.

Laprade is based in Paris and has also worked with magazines including Apollo and Vogue; and brands such as Aesop, Chloé and John Galliano.
