HOME is looking for a Marketing Content Intern to support its Marketing and Communications team, helping to tell the story of HOME, its programme, the people it works with and its wider community and engagement activities.

The role focuses mainly on researching, sourcing and writing news stories, blogs, articles and other editorial content that shows the breadth of HOME's work across theatre, film, visual art and creative engagement. It's a chance to build practical skills in content creation, digital marketing and communications inside a busy arts and cultural organisation.

This is a 12-week fixed-term internship of 144 hours, starting the week of 4 January 2027 and running to 29 March 2027. You'll work Wednesdays and Thursdays, six-hour days, with some evening work.

What you'll be doing

  • Creating engaging written content for HOME's website, including news stories, blogs, interviews and articles
  • Researching and finding interesting stories from across HOME's programme, projects, activities and people
  • Working with colleagues across HOME to gather information, conduct interviews and develop ideas for new content
  • Telling the stories behind HOME's creative engagement, community and artist development programmes
  • Drafting, editing and proofreading content so it's clear, accessible and consistent with HOME's tone of voice
  • Helping keep website content relevant, engaging and up to date
  • Working with the Digital Marketing team on social media ideas and, where appropriate, helping with filming, photography and short-form video
  • Attending selected HOME events to gather stories and capture content

What we're looking for

No previous professional marketing experience is needed. HOME wants someone enthusiastic, curious and keen to learn, with:

  • An interest in arts, culture, storytelling and the work of HOME
  • An interest in writing, storytelling, journalism, marketing or communications, whether through education, hobbies, volunteering or personal projects
  • Some experience of creating written content, whether through school or college work, blogs, social media or other creative activities
  • A willingness to contribute ideas, ask questions and take on new challenges
  • A positive, collaborative approach and an interest in sharing stories that reflect a diverse range of people and perspectives
  • Desirable: experience writing blogs, articles, interviews or reviews; creating content for websites or social media; or involvement in arts, cultural, community or creative activities

What's on offer

  • Pay: £13.45 an hour (Real Living Wage)
  • 25 days' holiday, pro rata
  • Discounted cinema and theatre tickets
  • Discounts in the HOME restaurant
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Hands-on experience in a professional marketing team, with guidance from experienced marketing and digital colleagues
