Senior/Staff Product Designer

Factorial is hiring a Senior/Staff Product Designer in Barcelona. Designers at Factorial are expected to understand how customers' processes actually work from end to end. Building a self-operating system means working in an AI-first environment: AI is the tool, and you'll be expected to use it relentlessly. Designers are judged on revenue and churn outcomes rather than NPS, and stay accountable until the work is live.

What you'll be doing

• Direction generation and alignment: defining a path forward without waiting for clarity, and making strategic calls with leadership
• Thriving in ambiguity: bringing clarity to uncertain situations and guiding cross-functional teams towards shared goals
• Product and design vision: helping shape long-term direction with Product leadership, and executing short- and mid-term bets
• System ownership: owning a large product problem space while accounting for dependencies and wider system complexity
• Leading design initiatives: owning initiatives end to end, beyond handoff and across silos
• Leadership and influence: raising the team's bar and mentoring less experienced designers without direct management authority

What we're looking for

• Business mindset: you use business data to inform decisions and treat user needs and business goals as one conversation
• Agentic AI fluency: you have shipped or seriously prototyped agentic products and can move between design and technical layers
• Research and problem framing: you combine qualitative research, customer conversations and business data to define product decisions
• Systemic thinking: you think in systems before experiences, mapping how products create and capture value
• Design and craft: you hold a high standard of quality for yourself and your team
• Full fluency in written and spoken English

The process

• People interview (30 minutes): a first conversation to align expectations – ask anything
• VP/Director interview (one to two hours): a deep dive into your experience and decision-making, with shared Figma work
• Challenge interview (90 minutes): the brief arrives a few days ahead
• Meeting the team: meet the product leaders and designers you'd work with before a final decision
• Offer letter: if everything aligns, Factorial makes a formal offer
