Never able to escape the endless roads of suburbia

Emily Gilbert is a recent graduate from the Arts University Bournemouth and her work is mainly narrative-based.

Written By:
A solitary figure stands in a snow-covered suburban street lined with bare trees, rendered in black and white watercolour, from Emily Gilbert's graphic novel Encounter

She is always intrigued and excited by the form of the graphic novel and enjoys the dark and mysterious, anything with an atmosphere or landscape, be it a city, moorland or the seemingly inescapable and endless roads of suburbia.

The work featured here is mainly from a graphic novel titled Encounter she recently self-published. Find out more here.
