The role
Leads design for Payments, one of Monzo's largest multi-market areas. You'll set the design strategy and vision, partner with senior Product and Engineering leaders, and manage and grow a team of product designers.
What you'll do
- Set design direction and vision for Payments
- Agree priorities, roadmaps and execution with area leadership
- Build and develop the design team
- Hold the quality bar through critique and coaching
- Foster a feedback culture that values craft
- Champion design across the company
About you
- A track record leading design strategy across complex product areas
- Able to move between long-term strategy and hands-on work
- Strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, Research and Commercial
- A clear point of view on product design, systems thinking and customer experience
- Experience building and leading high-performing design teams
