The Creme de la Creme of identity designs

Based on the idyllic-sounding setting of "the heart of the Alps", Bureau Rabensteiner, is a branding and graphic design studio working across strategy and designs for everything "from books to bottles, for clients big and small."

One beautiful recent project that caught our eye is its designs for Vienna-based, family run cafe Creme de la Creme. "We developed a clean an minimalistic identity inspired by the old Viennese Kaffeehaus, chic with Art Deco elements and a French twist," the studio explains.

The overall feel is very classy indeed: a minimal colour palette and gold accents bring a sense of gravitas. The old-fashioned seal idea is a lovely touch and a bold addition to what we'd usually see in cafe branding.

The designs are used across all touchpoints including signage, flags, coffee cups, paper bags, coasters and boxes for pastry and cakes.
