Magnificent collaged 3D landscapes made out of old postcards
Italian artist Caterina Rossato creates unique 3D collages out of old postcards, where she layers together cut-out images and applies them to wood to form sculptures of beautiful landscapes from across the world.

Speaking of the project, Rossato said: "I create landscapes made through a collage of other landscapes, combining images in which the sense of recognition of reality slips from one level to another and it is never clearly identified."
A graduate in Fine Arts from Italy's Accademia Carrara di Belle Arti in Bergamo, she also holds a Masters in Design and Production of Visual Arts at IUAV in Venice, where she has also just obtained a Masters in Interactive Arts. During her career she has worked as assistant for renowned artists such as Pascale Marthine Tayou and Nan Goldin, and since 2011 she's been the assistant of Alberto Garutti for the Laboratory of Visual Arts at IUAV in Venice.
Her work has been exhibited across Europe and she is currently resident artist at the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa in Venice. Discover more via www.caterinarossato.com.
