Dog and culture mag Four & Sons celebrates its tenth issue with David Shrigley, Bruce Weber and more

There's no shortage of niche indie mags out there: heck, there's "magazine for redheads" MC1R; cat-packed publication Puss Puss; and Broccoli, " a free magazine created by and for women who love cannabis."

One of our absolute faves, though, is Four&Sons, which explores our relationship with dogs, "not only as loyal friends but also as creative muses," as the publication puts it. Since launching five years ago, the publication has explored the myriad roles of dogs "from comrades-in-arms to companions at our heels," and has since been dubbed “dog porn” by none other than Courtney Love.

Each issue looks at all things dogs through the lenses of art, photography, music and literature; and for its tenth issue, it's brought in some brilliant work from those "creatively inspired by their four-legged mates" including David Shrigley, Julia Christe, Martin Usborne, Bruce Weber and Andrew Knapp. Highlights include a style series featuring sartorial Insta-famous hound ‘Menswear Dog,’ and illustrations from the artist behind Bob’s Burgers, Jay Howell.

The issue is available in two different covers: one shot by photographer and Weimaraner-lover William Wegman, and the other featuring model and stylist Linda Rodin with her poodle Winks, shot by Winnie Au.

A percentage of each magazine sale will be donated to charity WECare Worldwide, which works to provide veterinary care for less fortunate animals around the world.
