Felix Kosok's bold design and art direction for hip Art Directors Club Germany mag Sushi
Frankfurt-based designer and art director Felix Kook boasts a remarkabely finessed and enviable portfolio for a guy who’s not yet 30 years-old. It was his poster designs that initially caught our eye when he was selected for Glasgow Design Festival’s ever stunning poster show in late 2016, but our new fave project of his is the creative direction for Sushi 15.

The magazine celebrates entrants to the Young Talent Competition of the Art Directors Club Germany, and the team developed a “sushi” concept to reflect the idea of being a publication “devoured mostly by the upcoming young designers themselves as well as the agency’s talent scouts,” according to ADC; “an experimental kit that knows only one enemy – the printing deadline.”
The way the magazine is shot reflects the image-heavy layout beautifully, using a dotted backdrop and eerie little green-gloved hand. It’s a gorgeous project that errs just on the right side of overtly trendy, boasting a superb selection of talent and presented in a way that feels fresh and innovative.
