Midweight Designer

Cake is hiring a Midweight Designer to work across UX, UI, CRO and digital marketing creative, with mentorship from its Head of UX.

What you'll be doing

• UX & UI: designing user-centred ecommerce experiences; producing wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs; contributing to redesign and migration projects; working closely with developers
• Marketing & creative: designing email and CRM campaigns, paid social and digital ad creative, and Cake's own marketing assets
• Collaboration: managing several client projects at once, joining workshops and client meetings, and presenting design work internally
• Continuous improvement: keeping up with design trends and ecommerce best practice, learning about UX research and CRO, and suggesting process improvements

What we're looking for

• 3+ years' experience in a digital, creative or ecommerce agency
• A strong portfolio covering UX, UI and digital design
• Advanced Figma skills, including components, auto layout, interactive prototyping and design systems
• An understanding of UX principles, responsive design, accessibility and ecommerce best practice
• Strong organisation, communication and presentation skills

Bonus points for: website migration or redesign work, email/CRM and paid social design, behavioural analytics tools such as Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity, Shopify, CRO and A/B testing, motion design, and design systems.
