Ok, brace yourselves. One of our favourite iconic jewellery brands, Tatty Devine, has today launched its new collection dedicated to the much-loved Moomins. The exciting range includes necklaces, earrings, and brooches, featuring beloved characters and design elements plucked straight from the Scandi world of Moominvalley, created by Finnish artist and illustrator Tove Jansson in the 1940s.
Rediscover Moomintroll, Snorkmaiden, Little My and other fan favourites, immortalised in Tatty Devine’s signature glossy laser cut and layered acrylic and adorn yourself in delicate floral motifs, hand-penned by Jansson herself, digitally printed to appear as though they’ve jumped from the pages of a well-thumbed Moomins book.
The capsule collection is available in-store and online from today.
Sophia Jansson, creative director of Moomin Characters and niece of Tove Jansson, said: "Moomin and Tatty Devine share a significant fan base of cool, young women who love the bright and the bold and who cherish craft, design and creative integrity. I know that Tove, who was herself both an artist and a businesswoman, would greatly admire what Harriet and Rosie have achieved while staying true to their vision. We are delighted to be collaborating with them on this beautiful range."
Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine, the founders of Tatty Devine, said of the collaboration: "We have always greatly admired Tove, so to visit her studio and meet her niece Sophia was a real privilege and a source of inspiration. There is a natural synergy in the underlying messages of friendship and love that flow through both of our creations. We can’t wait to reveal this collection to a whole new generation of Tatty Devine and Moomins fans, and we can't wait to wear it!"
