Rise, a minimalist lamp with wireless tech that eases you into your day

Struggling to wake up in the morning? Rise is a beautifully designed wireless LED lamp with a ‘digital sunrise’ to slowly ease you into your day.

Benjamin Hubert of design agency LAYER has managed to create a lamp that pairs function with minimalist style for tech brand nolii. Made of mouth blown, lightly frosted glass, with speckled, matte plastic details, it has some nifty design elements.

It’s light, portable, offers up to 12 hours of light and also has the ability to charge one device wirelessly on the integrated induction charging pad that sits at the top of the lamp, and another via a USB-A output in the lamp's base. An app for tablets and smartphones allows users to remotely dim the lamp, or to programme the ‘sunrise’ feature in which the lamp acts as an alarm by slowly illuminating a room.

The Rise lamp is the first product in nolii's first collection of wireless tech products, showcased in September at designjunction as part of London Design Festival.

It will be available in three colourways (cement with indigo detail, moss with mint green detail, and oyster with peach detail) via www.wearenolii.com early next year.
