Art project funds 100,000 meals for migrant workers in India

To focus attention on this issue, social impact initiative The Plated Project has launched a new series of artworks, under the title 'A Plate Full of Hope', to provide 100,000 meals to migrant workers.

Twenty global artists from 10 countries have created limited-edition art-plates. They include Pavan Rajurkar from India, who was featured in Lürzer’s Archive's 200 Best Illustrators worldwide; Hana Augustine from Indonesia, recipient of an AGDA Award of Excellence; and Sandhya Prabhat from California, an illustrator and past speaker at NYU.

Each plate depicts one emotion or experience that people have felt during the lockdown across the world, and the sale of a single plate means 250 meals donated for a migrant worker’s family. 100% of the sale proceeds are being donated to Goonj's Rahat initiative, and in the first week alone, The Plated Project has already sponsored over 70,000 meals.
