Minju An's seemingly innocent illustrations reveal a sinister side to her work

Although playful and often childlike, there's nothing innocent about Minju An's distinctive, primary coloured illustrations. The deliberately simple artworks show a darker, weirder side to the quirky illustrator, who recently graduated from New York's School of Visual Arts.

"My works are based on diverse stories that I am interested in," says Minju. "I often touch on themes of psychology and philosophy as I make quirky connections between the two. My illustrations have a sense of humour and a weird, unravelling of my innocent sense of wonder."

Humorous and full of imagination, you can discover more of her work on her portfolio, or follow Minju on Behance and Instagram.
