Kelly Anna creates bold female silhouettes for Chelsea FC Women's club banner
London-based artist and illustrator Kelly Anna has created a new banner artwork for Chelsea FC's women's team, in a collaboration with the club and football media business COPA90.

The bold banner design features powerful silhouetted female forms to represent the players at Chelsea FC Women, and celebrate the 'Pride of London'. The work was unveiled ahead of the club's Women's Super League tie vs Reading FC on 9 May.

Kelly Anna was commissioned to work on the piece as part of the Chelsea Creates project between Chelsea Football Club and COPA90. Other artists involved in the series include Alva Skog, whose three illustrations of players were launched in February this year.
"From the beginning, this was a special project which really captured my imagination," says Kelly Anna. "I take huge inspiration from the amazing women at Chelsea F.C. Women and loved bringing together my vision of them as incredible warrior women on the pitch. I hope fans around the world will take inspiration from these incredible players who continue to blaze a trail for female empowerment."
