Jessica Dance creates a woolly sewing machine sculpture for John Lewis

Jessica Dance – the famous crafter who brought us food made entirely of wool – was recently commissioned by John Lewis to design and create a knitted installation to inspire customers and encourage them to think differently about wool.

One of her most detailed knitted sculptures to date, Jessica recreated with impressive accuracy the department store’s most popular sewing machine. Maintaining the clean and graphical style of the actual sewing machine with great skill and detail, the final piece is almost a doppelganger of the real-life version with accompanying accessories.
