Foilco unveils its plans for a more sustainable future in a joyful campaign designed by StudioDBD

Foilco has today announced Not Another Environmental Policy By Foilco – a campaign to push for a greener, more sustainable future, to challenge misconceptions about foil and to do something about the way that companies handle their foil waste.

Consisting of six cards and a corporate brochure housed in a specially produced box – all foiled on 100% recycled fibre Elephant Grey board and digitally printed on Fenner Paper’s Redeem 100% recycled paper; it hopes to inform, educate and inspire with a mix of humorous and sentimental messages that will resonate with brands and creatives.

The project has been playfully designed by Manchester's StudioDBD with a running 'green' theme alongside some instantly recognisable original illustrations by Taaryn Brench and a bespoke typeface.

"With this campaign it was obvious that there is already a lot of material out there from companies wishing to shout about how they are environmentally friendly and do their bit. It’s all rather dull and reptitive. So we went for less 'children running through fields of corn' and more bold, graphic and impactful design," says Dave Sedgwick from StudioDBD.

"When you start to see the type and illustrations foiled onto grey board it really comes to life. Hopefully the messages draw people in to read more, because the content is still very important and relevant. What Foilco are doing is really forward thinking."
