Taking just 30 of the most creative of these studios, based from King’s Cross to New Cross and digital apps to distilleries, Hopkinson, alongside photographer Rick Pushinsky, explores the ways in which these businesses are transforming the ways we eat, shop and play.

The resulting collection of images shot beautifully by Pushinsky, and words by Hopkinson, sit alongside tips and advice from business writer Rebecca Burn-Callander and illustrations by Daniel Frost in a new book published by Hoxton Mini Press.

An inspirational guide for anyone dreaming of starting their own business, whether it be in London or beyond, this book gets under the skin of some of the UK's most promising entrepreneurs.

Christina's expertise lies in journalism and creative writing, where she specialises in examining contemporary issues through both fiction and non-fiction. Her articles have appeared in a range of UK publications including the Guardian, The Times, The Sunday Times, Grazia and Red, and her five novels have been translated into more than 12 languages.

British photographer, Rick, is based in East London and has a background in fine art and architecture. He shoots portraits internationally and his work has been featured in Vogue, The Telegraph and the Financial Times.
