Postcards from Airports: Colourful illustrations by Mateusz Napieralski of his favourite cities
As many of us dream of visiting a faraway place (anywhere right now would be bliss), Mateusz Napieralski is helping us picture some of his favourite destinations in his Postcards from Airports series.

Oslo
The vibrant illustrations are inspired by previous trips and him reflecting on them while sitting at airports, waiting for his flight home. "While we can't quite travel as freely yet due to the pandemic, perhaps travelling through pixels is the next best thing right now," he tells us.
The Polish illustrator, art director and animator – currently based in Victoria on Vancouver Island, Canada – studied motion graphics at Ravensbourne University, and then went on to work for a number of design and animation studios in London. In 2015, he established his multidisciplinary practice Gust of Wind Studio and started working for a range of clients around the world.
"I love working with bold shapes, colour and playful compositions," he adds. "My work can be found across many platforms including online, digital products, editorials, packaging design and murals. Collaborating with clients whose values align with mine is very important for me, and I believe that those relationships form a solid foundation for projects that are inspiring, engaging and meaningful."
