Illustrator Stanley Wong's love of sneakers hits the streets of Hong Kong
Who doesn't love a fresh pair of new trainers? Or "sneakers", for those of you across the pond. They're loved so much that there's been a growing art trend globally where artists and makers celebrate and pay homage to the popular shoe type through various artistic tributes.

For Hong Kong illustrator Stanley Wong, aka Wood Fire, he's put together this series of sneaker illustrations to introduce the trend to his home country, where it's still relatively unheard of. He's also launching an exhibition at Hong Kong's Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre to showcase his work.
Bold colours, clean forms and sophisticated details – these are the essential elements of the artist’s work. Educated as a biochemist, Stanley eventually became a graphic artist and designer and has spent the past decade working for various international brands such as Saucony, FILA, Caterpillar, Dockers, Urbanears and Marshall.
