Electric illustrations by Janelle Barone that blend comic book art with Japanese Anime
Australian illustrator Janelle Barone is known for her appealing blend of comic book style art and Japanese inspired woodblock and Anime aesthetics. She also allows a heavy dose of on-screen inspiration, drawing from techniques visible in documentary photography and film.

Janelle explains: "I create purely digital art and animated gifs which blend the clean, neon colours that computers are capable of creating with grainy textures and imperfect line work. Above all, I love telling stories and creating reflective pieces of illustration."
A member of Illustrators Australia, Janelle has collaborated with other creatives to work with clients such as The Wall Street Journal, Cosmos Magazine, the Washingtonian and Formula E. You can view more of her fine work at www.janelle-barone.com or follow her on Instagram @janelle.barone.
