Zinc is looking for a Senior Brand & Creative Lead to build a credible, distinctive B2B brand as the company expands into new markets. Sitting in the Marketing – Content & Brand team, you'll report to the Head of Brand & Content and work with Demand Generation, Content, Lifecycle and Product Marketing. You'll manage two designers in a hands-on, player-coach role.
What you'll be doing
-
Brand design systems and processes: own the brand kit and framework across all assets, and build a scalable visual identity playbook
-
Hands-on design work: personally create digital and print assets, including campaign creative, social and ad assets, event stands and collateral
-
Cross-functional creative: work with the Brand, Content and Demand Generation teams to bring campaigns to life across channels
-
Creative ideation: lead campaign brainstorms and push for work that stands out
-
Team leadership: develop the designers' impact and prioritise the biggest opportunities
-
Brand development: keep the visual identity consistent and credible as Zinc enters new markets
What we're looking for
Background
-
Significant design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or high-growth companies
-
A clear view of what makes a B2B brand identity stand out, and how to build on an existing one
-
Hands-on production experience across digital and physical media
-
A track record of building brand systems that scale a wider team's output
-
Experience building brand systems that work across multiple markets
Musts
-
A genuine player-coach who still makes the work
-
Evidence of building scalable brand and creative systems
-
People management experience
-
Proficiency in Figma and InDesign (or Adobe equivalents) – video skills are a plus
-
Evidence of delivering work independently from brief to live
-
The ability to work from imperfect briefs and shape the right solution
Nice to haves
-
Experience designing for audiences where trust and credibility matter
-
Motion design or advanced prototyping experience
Where this isn't the right role
-
Someone who has moved into managing designers and no longer makes things
-
Someone who prefers to set direction and review work rather than design
-
Someone who wants to maintain a mature brand rather than define a system
-
Someone who needs a complete brief before starting
How success will be measured
-
Brand consistency: a visual identity that works across the UK and new markets, with clear guidelines
-
Creative cut-through: campaign creative that lands with HR and TA audiences
-
System evolution: a documented design system that non-designers can use
-
Team growth: expanded scope and output for the two designers
-
International traction: a brand that holds up in new markets rather than reusing UK assets
-
Production velocity: major external work owned end-to-end without handoff delays
What's on offer
-
24 days' holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off
-
£1,200 annual benefits allowance (via ThanksBen, from month two)
-
Early finish on Fridays (4pm)
-
Yearly company retreat abroad
-
30 days to work from anywhere
-
Enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption leave
-
Pension via NEST (3% employer, 5% employee)
-
Zinc shares through the EMI scheme
-
Unlimited access to Spill Therapy
-
Company socials, quarterly team socials and free Monday lunches
-
Nursery workplace benefit scheme (Yellownest)
-
Electric car lease option through the Electric Car Scheme
-
Celebrations of Zinc work anniversaries
