Art Food: A retrospective of ceramic design that enlivens the experience of eating

They say you should never play with your food. But a new retrospective of ceramic design at Pratt Manhattan Gallery this summer, might just let you get away with it.

Organised by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in collaboration with Modus Design and Pratt, Art Food Project is an annual educational experience that explores the overlap of art, design and food and gives students an invaluable experience in commercial design and production and creative thinking. The result is a body of work designed to activate all five senses through the experience of eating.

On show until 8 September 2018, this year's ceramic works feature designs from students at top Polish institutions such as the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, the School of Form in Poznań and the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wrocław, as well as the University of the Arts London and Central Saint Martins, here in the UK, and Pratt Institute in New York.

Art Food will be open on 25 June 25 and run until 8 September at the Pratt Manhattan Gallery at 144 W 14th Street in New York. Find out more: www.pratt.edu.
