Satin & ribbon stitch embroidered artworks that replicate Monet and van Gogh
Meko Gelashvili blends her love of embroidery and impressionist paintings to create incredible embroidered replicas of some of the world's most famous artworks.

Inspired by Women in the Garden - Claude Monet
Taking inspiration from the Masters such as Claude Monet and Vincent van Gogh, Meko uses satin and ribbon stitch to complete her impressive threaded paintings. She is completely self-taught, and follows in the footsteps of her mother who also enjoyed needlework.
Apparently, each piece takes between two to three weeks to complete, and although most replicate much-loved, iconic artworks, Meko also loves to paint with thread to create her own impressionist works. You can discover more about the Tbilisi, Georgia-based artist via Facebook.
