Nail art, not as you know it: Cristiam Ramos recreates masterpieces with nail polish

You might be familiar with the recent trend for 'nail art', but I'm almost sure you'll have never before seen masterpiece paintings, such as the Mona Lisa and Vincent van Gogh's self-portrait, recreated using nail polish.

Award-winning artist, Cristiam Ramos, is the talented painter behind the works, and his unique style spans far more mediums than just make-up. Real spider webs, butterfly wings and sweets, all serve as unusual assets in his toolkit.

Ramos currently holds a World Record for his creation of a full size motorcycle sculpture, made from more than 20,000 candies. Through his constant search for artistic originality, Cristiam seeks "different elements that are a challenge to work with, innovating in a new artistic expression."

Many of the artist's works are on display at Ripley's Believe It Or Not. Discover more at cristiamramosart.com.
