Hyperrealistic paintings of Spanish street scenes by artist Marc Figueras

When Spanish artist Marc Figueras enjoys his strolls through the beautiful city of Barcelona, he likes to capture the life that buzzes around him, with his eye especially drawn to the female subject.

Painting women walking, sitting and biking around the most famous landmarks of Barcelona, his hyperrealistic artworks of anonymous characters really do make you feel as though you are there, soaking up the sights, sounds and warm sunshine.

One of the youngest artists represented by Galeria Jordi Barnadas, Marc was born in Barcelona in 1981 and trained at the Escola d'Arts i Oficis de Barcelona. He currently studies the art of stained glass at the workshop of the world-renowned master glassmaker, JM Bonet, and has participated in the restoration, conservation and construction of the stained glass windows of the Sagrada Familia cathedral.
