Don't Work For Assholes: Posterzine celebrates the work of Erik Spiekermann

For an extremely special 35th issue of Posterzine, the poster-meets-magazine publication brought to you by People of Print, it's showcasing the work of the acclaimed designer, writer and typographer, Erik Spiekermann.

Proceeds for the "Don't Work For Assholes" edition will go to the much-loved magazine Grafik, in the hope that it will be able to return to print someday.

Of course, Spiekermann founded MetaDesign (1979) and FontShop (1988) and is behind the design of household names such as Audi, Bosch, VW, German Railways and Heidelberg Printing. He was also managing partner and creative director of Edenspiekermann with an impressive international team and offices in Berlin, Amsterdam, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

In this particular issue, you can find an exclusive interview with Spiekermann where he tells us why we shouldn't work for assholes (one of his most famous lines) with a glorious fold-out A1 version of his original letterpress printed poster. For those of you who love the details, this publication is lithographically printed by Pressision Ltd onto quality G . F Smith Naturalis paper using process black and warm red ink.

So if you want to keep print alive, head over to Deptsto.re to purchase a copy. Or visit posterzine.com and peopleofprint.com.
