Federico Leggio pays tribute to Berlin's U-Bahn with graphic poster series
When Italian designer Federico Leggio moved to Germany two years ago, he became fascinated with Berlin's Untergrundbahn and the many colourful and tiled walls of its stations. He liked them so much he decided to create a poster series paying tribute to them.

The U-Bahn serves 173 stations and is spread across 10 lines, covering 94 miles – about 80% of which is underground. Leggio simply picked his favourites, including U7 Wilmersdorfer Straße and U6 Paradestraße. He even added a little detail to the poster, explaining more about the station in question.
Of course, many others consider Berlin's U-Bahn to be an underground art gallery, with its creative use of pattern, colour, typography and architecture. Danish photographer Patrick Kauffmann is someone who has also been captivated with the subway system, capturing its diversity in a stunning photo series.
