Destroying art to create with César Biojo

Sometimes, to create something unique and brilliant, you have to destroy your initial efforts and start from scratch.

But what if you were to include that process in your work, leading eventually to something you could really be proud of? César Biojo is someone who does just that. He paints beautiful oil portraits, only to destroy them immediately afterwards.

This creation and destruction process results in a very personal approach, one that is being recognised and celebrated throughout the globe. Taking inspiration from Jean-Paul Sartre: “The gaze of the other makes us aware of ourselves”, his work has become an introspective study of human beings, their conflicts, their nature and existence.
