Paper Food by Samuel Shumway that looks good enough to eat

Paper artist Samuel Shumway has a thing for crafting paper meals. From sushi and noodles to pizza and ice cream, he uses a wealth of different coloured paper to recreate some of our favourite dishes and then photographs them, sharing them via his popular Instagram account.

"I started this project during my free time to combine my love of food photography and paper craft," explains Samuel. "I take suggestions for my next paper meals via the comments section of my Instagram and I hope to eventually make my own cookbook entirely consisting of paper food."

Based in New York City, Samuel is stop motion animator, videographer, prop designer and fabricator. He graduated from Parsons School of Design with a BFA in Illustration and has since worked for brands such as Nickelodeon, HarperCollins Children's Books, and Klutz. He has also taught at The Montessori School in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Discover more at samuelshumway.com.
