Body-text: Visceral ceramic sculptures explore body distortion and painful eroticism
There's something more than slightly unheimlich about Elena Bulay's series of ceramic sculptures, Body-text. Created as part of a diploma project on her Illustration Course at BHSAD, the main themes are fleshiness, painful eroticism, the distortion of the body, togetherness and coupling. Quite an array of topics to combine in one collection.

However, through the Moscow-based artist's sheer talent, the sculptures, which range from 17 cm to 32 cm in height, expressively depict each and every influence in the most beautiful way. Made from fire clay, the works are covered by engobe before being glazed. Discover more at behance.net/Grafimale.
