Stunning handmade soap that brings a whirlpool of fine art to your bathroom

When Aurelie de Sousa, otherwise known as Ellie, isn't designing or illustrating, she loves to create handmade soap that brings a sense of fine art to your daily routine. Combining a whirlpool of different colours, patterns and smells, these artisan bath-time goodies show a real passion for herbalism, perfumery and craft.

"Since I was a child I've always loved herbalism, aromatherapy and the emotionally rich realm of perfumery. In soap making, I can combine all of this," explains Ellie. "Each of my products is uniquely formulated based on nature's pharmacy combining vegetable oils, essential oils, fragrances and botanical extracts.

"The best of this is that not only can I create a skin-loving natural soap with luxurious and skin loving ingredients but I can also turn it into something beautiful. The colours, the shape, the texture, the ingredients are carefully chosen thinking on the relationship between design and function."

Ellie's favourite ingredients to use in her soaps are activated charcoal, Japanese green tea leaves, seaweed, coffee grounds, rose petals and shea/cocoa butter. Discover more at www.byellieshop.com.
