Augustine Carr's Summa Theologica conveys art's process and practice

Combining a range of creative mediums, Augustine Carr – tipped as one of Britain's most exciting young artists – highlights the process and practice of his work for new exhibition, Summa Theologica.

Featuring photography, sculpture and film, the Royal College of Art graduate creates work that rejects an emphasis on representation in favour of what lies behind the final creation. Carr's past work has been described as "childish" in nature – irreverent and playful. His inventive use of scale encourages onlookers to both immerse and distance themselves from the pieces.

The artist represented the RCA at Art Dubai, has been shortlisted for the Bloomberg Prize and is currently working on a Frieze week event with After Projects.
