A global model village with miniature people at your feet, captured on camera

Next week, London’s Andipa Gallery launches a major new exhibition by Slinkachu, the street artist who photographs his miniature street installations of tiny 1inch-high figures which are then left in situ - or “abandoned” by the artist.

With every picture shot in London and seemingly in idyllic glades and green pastures, which are in fact weeds and moss that appear through cracks in the concrete, Minaturesque raises a smile whilst highlighting our society’s detachment from nature and subtly subverting our notions of modern city living.

Miniaturesque will feature seventeen new images on paper and aluminium as well as new sculptural pieces, one of which is Slinkachu’s biggest yet featuring over 200 miniature figures in a recreation of The River Thames. This is not to be missed. The exhibition kicks off 13 March 2015 and runs until 11 April 2015 at Andipa Gallery, 162 Walton Street, London, SW3 2JL.
