Tales of the Sea: Illustrator creates series of fantastical marine-based characters

This illustration series by Vladimir Stankovic tells the story of his beautifully hand-drawn characters, inhabiting the deepest depths of the sea. Mermaids, mermen, whales, and an octopus live side by side in a magical, pastel coloured water world.

Based in Sydney, Australia, Stankovic's unique style has been applied to various settings, including fairytales, plants and insects. But, regardless of the scenario, the illustrator's style is truly unmistakable.

His work has been covered by various online publications who, like us, just can't get enough. Discover more on vladillus.com.
