Séverine Dietrich's graphic artworks of mountains reach appealing new heights

Graphic landscapes and abstract configurations form the basis of Séverine Dietrich's latest personal work. The Lyon-based graphic designer apparently takes inspiration from things such as mountains to create her brightly coloured, graphic artworks.

A graduate of Graphic Design from the École des Beaux-Arts de Lyon, Séverine works at Palace Rouville, a collaborative workshop at the heart of Lyon’s artistic Pentes de la Croix-Rousse neighbourhood.

Since 2011, she has worked within communications, publishing projects and creating visual identities for the cultural, corporate and industrial sectors. Through her work as an independent designer and as a teacher of graphic design courses, Séverine focuses on the "experimental facets needed for graphic and artistic creation."

We especially like her use of colour. She explains: "On canvas as well as on silkscreen prints, my colour palette can be found in landscapes that oscillate between architectural concepts and visions of evolving scenery."
