Seas the Day: Harry Borden's moving portraits of UK fishermen for a charity calendar

London fish and seafood restaurant J Sheekey has partnered with the Fishermen's Mission to create a 2018 calendar, raising awareness and funds for fisherman in the UK facing "danger, difficulty, and poverty as a result of the industry they work in".

The Seas the Day calendar – shot by Harry Borden, one of the UK's finest portrait photographers – features incredible images of fishermen from across the UK. All proceeds from the £15 calendar will go directly to the charity.

Harry Borden said: "I’ve often captured fishermen at sea for photo-shoots and I see the hard work that goes into sourcing seafood for restaurants, and it’s no mean feat. I feel completely privileged to be able to honour the hard work of these men and women and it is with great joy knowing that the proceeds will go directly towards supporting them and their families."

The J Sheekey Fisherman's Calendar will feature twelve different fishermen who have been photographed on mission by Harry Borden, across four UK fishing hotspots. It will be available to purchase from the restaurant, from December. All proceeds will go directly to The Fishermen’s Mission.
