One & Other serves a new brand identity for The Darling restaurant

When The Darling planned to launch its oyster bar in Charleston, South Carolina recently, it called upon the talents of One & Other to help with its brand, print design and website.

Written By:
Flat lay of The Darling oyster bar's branded stationery and matchboxes in soft pink, navy and green with vintage-style typography and logo design

Taking inspiration from the restaurant's sustainable approach and use of local ingredients, whilst adding a little retro twist to pay homage to the classic oyster bars of America's past, the studio – led by Will Allport and Ky Coffman – produced an elegant and timeless identity.

Just like One & Other, the resulting look and feel is the perfect balance between function and beauty, masculinity and femininity, old and new. We especially love the vintage-style typography and the grownup colour palette of soft pinks and greys contrasted with dark navy and rich green. Discover more about the project at oneandother.co.
