In his series Nowhere in Particular, Berlin-based photographer Matthias Heiderich captured a range of minimalist architectural shots during a road trip through America, covering British Columbia, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada and Wyoming.

Picking out the colourfully mundane, these beautiful and striking photographs could have been taken anywhere. And that's the whole point of the series. Heiderich manages to find beauty in what the rest of us might consider dull and inconspicuous.
