For those of you currently battling through Dry January, first off, I applaud your efforts, and secondly, it's about to get a whole lot more challenging... Cornwall-based design agency, Kingdom & Sparrow, has created its own beer, inspired by the evocative history of the coastline right outside its studio.
Working with clients all over the world, the team created Overboard, to celebrate the extraordinary history of smuggling alcohol that took place right outside their window. A long-standing client, Bath-based Electric Bear, is providing the brewing expertise.
In addition to creating the inside of the can, the outside showcases the team's skill in hand-drawn illustration and traditional techniques. In this case, they used intricate pen and ink drawings to creatively capture the world of spirits shipped to new shores – a nod to their design work travelling all over the world from Cornwall.
Brand Director, Sophie Cowles, said: “Our location is definitely one of our USPs as an agency, and we’re proud of our lifestyle and different way of working. We pioneer a healthy work-life balance and everyone here loves what they do. Technology such as Skype and our easy access to Newquay airport means we never have to compromise on client communication."
