Hugmun's acid trip poster series for a Norwegian arthouse cinema's programme of events
Oslo design studio Hugmun has created this wonderful, acid trip poster series for Cinemateket Trondheim, to act as a unique programme of events for the 25-year-old arthouse cinema in northern Norway.

Each artwork features one month and takes inspiration from all the planned films scheduled for that period. The series follows Hugmun's brand refresh for the cinema, which has a "sophisticated, open-minded audience who love good independent film," says Tomasz Pawluk and Maria Milenko of Hugmun. "The client was very open to our interpretation and illustrative approach.
Tomasz adds: "The series pushes the boundaries, featuring the idea of falling into a hole, signifying the immersive experience of cinema and travelling through time and space, always maintaining eye-catching and engaging colours and shapes."
The different fonts are characterful and complementary to the illustrations. The posters were designed for print, and also for online and cinema-screen use, where the illustrations would be animated.
