Senior Designer

The role

A senior designer post in the Visual Design department at Code and Theory, a digital-first creative agency, based in New York or remote. The work covers brand identity, campaigns and digital products, with prototyping and AI treated as everyday parts of the design process.

What you'll do

• Design across brand identity, campaigns and digital products, including web, mobile and platforms
• Create visual languages and design systems that scale across marketing and product
• Turn strategy into concepts, flows, UI frameworks and finished work of a high craft standard
• Prototype early and often, from motion and interaction studies to clickable high-fidelity prototypes
• Treat AI as a core design tool, building workflows for ideation, iteration, production and rapid prototyping
• Work with strategists, writers, producers and engineers to deliver work from start to finish
• Present work, take feedback and join client conversations when needed
• Balance conceptual exploration with day-to-day production across several workstreams
• Deliver high-fidelity concepts that developers can build, and support handoff, QA and iteration
• Manage your workload and timelines so work is prioritised, scoped and delivered on schedule

About you

• A high level of AI fluency, with ongoing experimentation and a workflow that keeps changing
• The ability to turn ideas into testable experiences quickly and use prototypes to drive decisions
• Strong communication, a collaborative outlook and the ability to own work independently
• A portfolio showing identity, campaign and product/UI work, including both systems and execution
• Strong typography, composition, interaction sense, systems thinking and attention to detail
• Experience contributing to design systems across marketing and product
• Comfort working closely with engineers on handoff, feasibility, QA and iterative build cycles

• Salary: $90,000 – $115,000 (the range spans multiple levels)
