The Greek design studios making paper beautiful, and fun

Who said paper can't be fun? Not us, that's for sure, especially when we see such great work celebrating it – such is the case with Greek design agencies Common Ground and Regina Souli Studio.

The Athens-based studios recently unveiled a project for Arjowiggins Creative Papers, which promotes the brand's new Keaykolour spectrum of 48 colours.

The special edition brochure for the launch of these creative papers in Greece uses two different covers. The interior design direction is based on the "idea of linguistics, due to the difficult pronunciation of the papers’ names in our country,"explain Veronika Papadopoulou of Common Ground and Regina Souli of Regina Souli Studio. "We created a typographical game by using Greek letters to write each name." The studios chose to use fonts by Parachute Typefoundry throughout the brochure.

Inside the brochure, a wide variety of different printing techniques are used to showcases the possibilities of the papers, presented using different shapes. The brochure was printed by Mougiakakos Graphic Arts & Graphic Studio Frantzeskakis Georgios and bound by Typografio Pletsas–Kardari.
