In his series A Week of Someone Else, Venezuelan illustrator and animation director Carlín Díaz crafts collages to reflect every day of the week.
Using some sketches as a guide, he considers how we usually feel on each day and then chooses different coloured paper to cut out and shape his tactile artworks – perfectly depicting Monday's typical blues and Friday's happy weekend feeling to Wednesday's 'over the hump' and Sunday's depressing realisation that another working week is just around the corner.
Carlín was born in Caracas – Venezuela, a country that he left three years ago. He currently lives in Paris, working as a freelance animation film director, animator and illustrator. His style tends to lean towards organic, geometric shapes – finding the pattern and form in everything.
