California Dreaming: Ludwig Favre's appealing photographs of Los Angeles
It's around this time of year that I start to crave sunshine. Along with most other Brits, I find winter months pretty taxing. The cold and dark. It can feel relentless. To chase away those winter blues, allow Ludwig Favre's photographs of the City of Angels to warm your spirits.

Dripping in California laidback cool, the series features every corner of Los Angeles, from the famous Hollywood sign to the palm trees on Venice Beach. It's an excellent example of the French photographer's specialty – that is, landscape photography at its finest, and focused mainly on cities and American landscapes.
Following his usual style of picking out vibrant colours and symmetrical features, he highlights the turquoise sky against the odd rainbow-hued building. You're left feeling calm, revived and – perhaps – wondering why you choose to live in somewhere like Manchester. Or maybe that's just me.
