100 Years, Today's Women: New exhibition explores the "new suffragettes" through art

Entitled 100 Years, Today's Women, the group exhibition will display artworks by twenty-one women who have been invited to create work in response to the term "the new suffragettes".

Running from 14 March until 18 March at the London School of Economics Library, it will include a mix of established and emerging talent, including data illustrator at The Guardian, Mona Chalabi; illustrator behind ‘The Little Book of Feminist Saints’, Manjit Thapp; Muslim Sisterhood, a photography collective set up by LSE alumni; gal-dem illustrator Charlotte M.A.; artist and illustrator, Charlotte Edey and We Are Here co-founders and artists, Erin Aniker and Jess Nash, amongst many others.

As We Are Here explains: "These two identities, British and BME, are often seen as mutually exclusive, We Are Here UK: British BME Women aims to provide a platform for BME artists to explore their dual British identity and heritage."
