Moki's paintings of people literally cloaked in landscapes

Merging nature with our everyday lives makes a fascinating and beautiful series of artworks by German artist Moki.

Finding inspiration in Japanese art and Scandinavian landscapes, her acrylic paintings are filled with interesting terrains that seem to cloak her subjects.

The meadows, moss, mountains and forests seemingly transform into clothing on the people she paints, so they almost disappear into her paintings.

Many of Moki's works can be found in her book, a 128-page hardcover called How to Disappear. Filled with 66 colour illustrations as well as some black and white ones, it's a beautiful series of photorealistic paintings, suitable for any decent coffee table.
