Transforming the historic façade of 3 Henrietta Street into a vibrant message of positivity, this is Burrill's biggest project to date, and the bold print is also being transformed into limited edition posters which will be sold to raise money for NHS Charities Together.
The installation of Burrill's artwork celebrates the re-opening of the area to shoppers and businesses. It also follows previous commissions including large-scale artworks by Charles Pétillon, Alex Chinneck, Anya Hindmarch and Jean-Charles de Castelbajac amongst others.
"The world has changed," says Burrill, "we are living through unprecedented times that none of us ever anticipated. Throughout the time of lockdown, we've shown ourselves to be full of love, hope and joy. Unstoppable human qualities that will continue to bring us together as we navigate our way into this new reality."
"I'm optimistic that we will be able to learn lessons from the past few months, celebrate coming together again, while remaining mindful of the new world we live in," he adds.
Anthony Burrill's Love, Hope & Joy will be on show until October 2020. Limited-edition installation prints are available from www.anthonyburrill.com/shop.
