Photographer Hellen van Meene is famed for her square portraits of teenage girls. Her first exhibition took place in 1996, and since then her work has been shown in galleries around the world. Her photographs are in the collection of a number of prominent museums, including the Guggenheim and MoMA, New York.
This particular collection of images, Untitled, depict a series of young women with their faces obscured by hair. Some of the women's bodies are slightly exposed, whilst others are clothed in floaty garments. Although unsettling, the photographs are undisputedly beautiful.
