Suki Thompson and Rankin ask leading creatives how they 'reset' and look after their wellbeing at work
Entrepreneur Suki Thompson and photographer Rankin have joined forces to ask top creatives and business leaders how they deal with mental health in the workplace.
The project is for a new book, Let's Reset, which includes over 80 contributions from the likes of actor Rose McGowan, James Routledge – founder of Sanctus, Amanda Mackenzie of Lloyds Bank, Sarah Hoban from Benefit, Steve Hatch from Facebook, comedian Russ Kane, former rugby player Ben Kay, and Anna Hill, senior vice president and general manager of Weight Watchers.
Featuring personal revelations and tips for resilience and wellbeing, the book is full of personal anecdotes and messages to highlight the importance of positive mental health, business and commercial success.
In the book's foreword, Suki writes: "If we all take the time to stop and listen, the workplace can be better, happier, and more effective. At the end of the day, I would like every person, no matter how small a part of this book they read, to leave feeling empowered, strong enough to break the pattern of the social media machine and able to talk openly about the importance of wellbeing and resilience at work."
As you might expect, no Rankin collaboration lacks his famous creative and cultural edge. The book includes portraits taken by Rankin himself in his typical style photographic style, revealing the real selves behind the names.
Rankin told Creative Boom: "Let's Reset is meant to inspire us to think differently about the way we work, and how to be brave enough to bring our whole selves to every conversation. There are top tips on how to build your own resilience and wellbeing, and, an opportunity to glimpse behind the scenes at what creates a successful business leader. If we all take the time to stop and listen, the workplace can be better, happier, and more effective."
